the reason for safety locks pix

these four pictures are the single reason we had to install cabinet safety locks. we're not completely oppressive to our child--we did give him one cabinet for him to play with and store his treasures of miss-matched tupperware, old pot holders, etc. we're thinking that santa might bring him some wooden spoons to chew on and bang on the tupperware with.

washing dishes

israel loves the dishwasher. whenever kara is loading or unloading, he rushes to her aid (literally, from anywhere in the house, he crawls to the kitchen as fast as possible). usually, he grabs on to the bottom draw and rattles it (to make noise). he even tries to chew on it ocassionally. i tried to tell him not to chew on it, but rhonda reminded me, "it's clean. it is the dishwasher afterall!" and, when it's running, he'll sometimes lean against it and fell the vibrations and place his ear against it, too.
