i'm so excited

those who know me know i enjoy community theater. it's theater and it's community--the best of both. it's an opportunity for me to do what i love to do with people i love and yet not be in charge (sometimes its just refreshing to have somewhere to pass the buck up!).

so, let me announce (though many of you already know) my latest endeavor. i'm in the ensemble for cincinnati music theater's production of disney's beauty and the beast. i'm so excited because after just a few short rehearsals (this is just our first week), i am blown away by the talent level of the cast. they are truly amazing performers.

also, the production staff has already shown more attention to detail than many other productions in which i've participated. they really have their act together and the final product will be so much better for it.

here's the catch--after this first week of rehearsal, buzz is so good that there is already a performance sold out! in fact, about 60% of total available tickets are already sold. if you want to see it (and believe me, you do!), you need to act quickly or you'll miss it.

to purchase tickets, go to http://www.cincinnatiarts.org/ and search for event "beauty and the beast". from there, pick your show time and proceed with your purchase. you won't be sorry that you did. this show really promises to be the greatest production of which i've been a part.

michala riggle's visit

yesterday was all a-buzz for two events: the oscars (which i stayed up to watch) and the riggle family coming to visit loveland christian church. it was a great day of worship (the band and choir were spot-on) and we got to meet the riggle family in their journey of "beading to beat autism."
probably you can just google oscar results if you're really interested (which for some of us is more important than the super bowl).
but, here are two links to youtube that shows both segments of channel 9 news broadcasts covering their visit to our church.
