typo

how important is a single letter?
i am not sure that i really know the importance of a single letter. proper usage of letters is the difference between a smart feller and a fart smeller!

so, i was going to visit a friend's blog. i carefully typed the http and it started to load. it looked like something my friend would blog. so, i started to read.

the latest post talked about things that i knew were recent in my friend's life: redecorating and new school year. it would make sense that there are others who would have those same topics at hand, but it raised no flags that i might be in the wrong blog.

however as i'm reading about the emotional low that the writer's been dealing with...wait, did he just use that word? probably it's a typo and he meant to type "shirt"...but, no...there it is again. well, i suppose--no, i can't make sense of this, but i read on to better understand the writer--OMG!--did he just drop the f-bomb?

at this point, i realized i was reading the wrong blog.

all this came about because i left out one small letter in the http. needless to say, i redirected myself quickly and found what i was looking for.

so, how important is a single letter? yup--it's that important.
  • to my teenager--please continue to learn to spell correctly. it makes a huge difference in your ability to present yourself and your emotions as well as your ability to administer truth and healing to those you encounter. you have a great capacity for compassion, so don't let it get lost in translation.
  • to my son--learn from us that "u is more important than i" no matter who you are dealing with. Jesus was a servant and we want you to learn that from him.
  • to my wife--may we continue to grow closer as each of us works on honest, truthful and self-less communication in our marriage. love is enough, but higher love, more developed love, better communicated love will carry us farther.
  • to God--thank you for every letter in your book. each is important to me.

speak, O Lord, in everyway that you created me to hear. teach me to speak in languages that communicate all about you.

ps - for the real blog that i was trying to visit, go to www.xanga.com/kenread. it may take you time to digest all that you read, but the simplicity and profundity of ken's revelations always bless me and convict me. he is a collegue, a friend, a mentor and forever will be my teacher.
